We bought a new bed for our bedroom last year and opted for a sleigh bed design. Although we had looked at a few other designs it was the Sleigh Bedsthat we always came back to. We opted for a leather sleigh bed in the end to blend in with the contemporary theme of the room. I`ve seen other varieties of the Sleigh Bedsthat I like and wooden French beds are also amongst my favourites. This type of bed comes in a choice of wood finishes from light matt mahogany to rich gloss mahogany. It all depends on what the colour scheme of the room is, as to what finish the wood needs to be. With sizes ranging from single right through to super kingsize the beds can cater for a host of customer needs. One of the single beds can make a fine feature within a child`s bedroom whilst the larger double versions can make quite a focal point inside a couple`s boudoir. I think it`s the style of the French Sleigh Bedsthat help them to be so appealing, as they come with scrolled arms and fine feature feet. When we bought our new bed we opted for a leather version but part of me thinks a classic French design might have been the better option.
